Given his massive contract and record-breaking season, one would speculate Judge to be the most searched player in the league in 2022. However, that is not the case. There is one baseball legend who was searched more than Aaron Judge and his name is not a surprising one.

Albert Pujols was searched more than Aaron Judge this year:

According to a report by Talkin’ Baseball, Albert Pujols was the most searched person on the baseball reference website. Pujols’ page was the most viewed page in 25 states in America. Judge, on the other hand, had the most viewed page in 16 states finishing second. The tweet said “The most viewed Baseball Reference page in each state throughout 2022”.

Notably, just like Judge, Pujols also had a record-breaking season with the Cardinals. He went on to smash over 20 homers in his last playing year. And while doing so, The Machine also became the only 4th player to hit over 700 home runs.

And given this fact, the fans were also not surprised by the result. Some even wondered why more states didn’t have him as their top search.

It will be interesting to see who tops the searches in 2023 and in how many states. Judge will be a frontrunner, considering the fact that he is reportedly going to be named the Yankees captain.
