Baseball legend, Barry Bonds, once got enraged over the New York Yankees not celebrating their player Alex Rodriguez on his big achievement.

Rodriguez was just five homers away to get in fourth place for having the most home runs. But his team did not look like celebrating his moment. They still held anger on A-Rod for ruining the game for many after he got banned because of PEDs usage.

Bonds, however, was antagonized by the fact that the game was still punishing him and not looking at the numbers he put in the game.

Barry Bonds had a lot to say about baseball not celebrating Rodriguez

When Bonds learned the fact that the Yankees decided not to list A-Rod‘s home run achievement as its milestones, he was enraged.

“When Alex hits No. 660, I’ll be happy for him. Willie will be happy for him. Everybody should be happy for him,” Bonds said. “What part of 600 home runs don’t people understand? You don’t need to understand that. Just look at the numbers.”

He said that there was no need for any hate since baseball was benefitting from his statistics, and there should at least be a celebration for such an achievement.

But the fact that he was not going to receive any celebration and also his bonus of $6 million got canceled from the New York Yankees, was disheartening.

Why is Bonds a disputed home run king?

In his 22-year career with Major League Baseball, Barry Bonds became the home run king by hitting 762 homers. The previous record for most home runs was of Hank Aaron, who had 755 homers in his career. But, to this day, Bonds remain as a disputed home run king.

The reason behind the same is he was convicted of obstruction of justice and apparently misleading testimony. The other reason is him allegedly taking PEDs, for which he never formally got convicted.
