Even though Derek Jeter does not play the game anymore, he will forever remain a thorough and thorough Yankee. Jeter is one of the very rare breeds of a person who does not lose their concentration on their goal. While he played the game, Jeter’s one and only goal was to win as many titles for the Pinstripes. And now when he no more plays the game, the legendary Yankees captain prefers to spend time with his beloved family as much as he can.

Recently, in an exclusive interview with GQ Sports, the Yankees legend opened up about his future plan, considering what his wife, Hannah Davis, would think about it. Jeter jokingly admitted to his fear of Hanna, that he can not commit his time to more work.

Even the mighty captain Derek Jeter also gets scared at times

Just a few days before it got announced that Captain Clutch was returning to television, he spoke about various projects being lined up for him in the future. But all of it wasn’t without being instilled with fear.

In early 2022, Derek Jeter ended his stint as the CEO of the MLB franchise, Miami Marlins after four years. Having stepped down from a significant role must have freed quite some time from his schedule. Therefore, as he talked about his future projects, he said, “I’m always up to something. I can’t sit still. I can’t say I have more time cause my wife would kill me if I say I have more time now, but I do have more time cause I had my head down in Miami; it’s every single day. And now I have a little bit more freedom to do some other things that I’m interested in.”

Getting filled with curiosity about what’s coming next is natural. But to say that Jeter had more time than before would get his wife turn on to him. It’s because Derek and Hannah are parents to three girls, all under the age of 10, and parenting is indeed a tough job. Maybe that’s the reason the Hall of Famer showed a hint of fear while talking about his future.
