Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez were once a celebrity couple. Throughout their respective personal lives, both have been a part of many starry pairings. One such pairing for Lopez early in her music career was with rapper, P. Diddy. 

Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez is a retired baseball legend, popular for once playing with the New York Yankees. ‘A-Rod’ is a one-time World Series champion and 14-time All-Star player. On the other hand, Jennifer Lopez is an actress and pop music megastar with universal popularity. Whereas P. Diddy is a famous rapper and a record label owner.

Dating from 2017 until their breakup in 2021, ‘A-Rod’ and ‘J-Lo’ were high-profile couple. Engaged in 2019, they made big news for the town gossip throughout their relationship. But such publicity is no big deal for either of them. Long back in the day, Lopez had yet another starry love affair with rapper P. Diddy. 

A celebrity pairing before meeting Alex Rodriguez 

Both Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez and Jennifer ‘J-Lo’ Lopez have lived a life of glamor & glitter long before meeting each other. At the onset of her music career, Lopez dated rapper P. Diddy. Both music personalities were originally from New York. 

The two of them first met in 1997. They were working on Diddy’s music video ‘Been Around The World’. Following on, Diddy produced Lopez’s debut album ‘On The 6’. As per report, their romantic escapades began when Diddy was working on Lopez’s music video for the single ‘If You Had My Love’. 

Diddy described the affair as ‘love at first sight’. However, ‘J-Lo’ had a different opinion. She noticed that the rapper wasn’t as family oriented as she was.

According to a source, Lopez later described her relationship with Diddy saying, “We developed this bond. We both understood where we were at that time in our lives and we both knew nobody else understood exactly how we felt.” Thus, that was the initiation of a new chapter in their lives.

Diddy and ‘J-Lo’ broke up and parted ways in 2001. Lopez is now married to actor, Ben Affleck. While Diddy is dating rapper, Yung Miami. He is also the CEO of his record label, Bad Boy Records.
