From all around the city, ladies would come to China Club simply to catch sight of the future New York Yankees captain who adored the nightlife of NYC.

On his days off, to unwind, Derek Jeter often headed to Manhattan hotspot, China Club, only to find a large crowd gathered there to look at him.

In an interview with the New York Post from 1999, China Club owner Michael Barrett brought to knowledge the kind of calls he received before the commencement of a Monday night. And they were all about the future Hall of Famer.

At the young age of 25, Jeter created chaos in China Club. Barrett, the owner of China Club, explained, “Monday is our big night – the phone rings all night with ladies asking, ‘Is Jeter going to be in?’”

In addition to that, Barret added that the primary question the club received on Monday nights was pertaining to Jeter’s presence, “It’s the main question we get asked.”

Derek Jeter was the ultimate “bad boy” of the New York Yankees during his playing days. Even off the field, Mr. November was just as legendary, charming his way through the biggest names in entertainment, including Mariah Carey, Vanessa Minnillo, and Jordana Brewster.

In 2016, Derek Jeter married swimsuit model Hannah Davis. Today, the couple are happily married with three daughters.
