The Philadelphia Phillies are having their dream season. They not only broke their playoff curse this year, but also maintained their winning streak through back-to-back victories. On Saturday night as well, they began their best-of-five NL Division Series with the Atlanta Braves with a glorious win in Game 1. However, unknowingly, in this process, it helped two old friends to wash off their years-long feud and come closer, as a recent social media post from Derek Jeter suggests. Moreover, the cherry on top is that these two MLB legends shook hands with their former rival to celebrate this event.

The Sunday game invited speculation from every side, and the Fox Sports analysts were no exception. They had predicted the winning chances of the Phillies. As their prediction came true last night, the famous Fox Sports trio met to celebrate the moment.

After the MLB fans witnessed the victory of the Phillies, they witnessed another memorable event shared by Derek Jeter. As his Instagram story shows, he has been reunited with the former teammate Alex Rodriguez, Red Sox legend David Ortiz, and sports commentator Kevin Burkhardt. Fans consider it a celebration of their defeating “the best team in baseball.” While discussing the odds for the teams to win the World Series, Derek predicted, “The Phillies are going to beat [the Braves] in the first round.”

The Phillies and Braves series has attracted the attention of baseball fans and legends alike because of the previous year’s surprising table-turning. In 2022, the Braves were the favorites, but still, the Phillies had the last smile, bringing the Braves season to an unexpected end. 2023 seems to be the repetition of the same history.

While the Braves are the favorites this year as well, the Phillies established their power with the 3-0 win in Game 1 of NLDS. Although the ultimate victory will be decided with the remaining four games, for now, for the Phillies, it’s a great motivation to keep going.

During the initial innings, both teams were fighting their best; eventually, Bryce Harper’s sixth inning changed the scenario. The Phillies took the lead, culminating in a win. With that being said, there were a few Phillies players who stole the show last night.

Since he has returned, the Phillies star outfielder has adapted to his DH role. And since then, he is going through his best games. In the latest game, again, the 30-year-old star stole the show as he took the central role in leading the team. He scored his career’s 12th postseason home run against the Braves.

Bryson Stott ended a scoreless deadlock in the fourth inning by delivering a single that brought Harper an unearned run. Apart from them, Jose Alvarado, Orion Kerkering, Matt Strahm, and Craig Kimbrel contributed to wrapping up the Braves 3-0.
