The New York Yankees fans might consider themselves lucky that Alex Rodriguez and Derek Jeter — two of the best baseball players of the same generation — played for over a decade for their team. And why not? Together they entertained an era in MLB.
During the 11 years they played together, A-Rod and Jeter also shared their share of difficulties in their relationship. Notably, once a very close friend to A-Rod, Jeter did not like it when A-Rod said some disturbing things about the former Yankee captain. Because of this, Jeter had ended his friendship with A-Rod for a long time. Even to date, the two do not share the same bond as they did in their younger days.

Talking about the same, another former Yankee, Nick Swisher, weighed his opinion while talking to Rich Eisen in an old interview.
Nick Swisher on the awkward interview of Alex Rodriguez and Derek Jeter
In 2017, years after their beef, Alex Rodriguez and Derek Jeter sat together for an interview with Bob Pisani of CNBC. The two had shown up for the BTIG annual charity event.

When Pisani asked them, ‘how do they feel sitting together after their reported rift, Jeter and A-Rod handled the situation like pros. The CNBC reporter also asked A-Rod if Jeter is his friend. But A-Rod gave him a befitting reply, and said, “shortstop and third baseman are exactly how we were back in the day…”
In the same year, Swisher,—who also happened to be a teammate of Jeter and A-Rod—reacted to this incident. Former Yankee said it was hard to watch.
“That was hard to watch… Let’s be honest, it was very difficult… I feel like they got set up for that… Derek started off. I think he thought it was something different. And then I think it turned into that… That’s bad,” Swisher had said in 2017.

“You (CNBC) can not take two guys like that. You know what you are doing. I feel like you run into guys along your career. We are talking about two iconic figures…”
However, recently during the release of Derek Jeter’s docuseries, the two confirmed that they have moved on from that thing long ago.
