The sole fact that Aaron Judge has already hit 50 homers this season is already evidence that he’s one of the best hitters in the world. Judge made his MLB debut with the Yanks in 2016. Since then, he’s appeared on four All-Star teams and has won two Silver Slugger awards. Similar to 2022, he was leading the list of season home runs back in 2017 as well.

He also deserves ample credit for the Yankees’ comfortable position in the American League. Markedly, the Yankees are leading the American League East Division at 0.608 significantly above the Tampa Bay Rays at 0.555.
How is Aaron Judge betting on himself?
As of the start of the 2022 season, Judge became a free agent. Before the start of this season, Judge was unsuccessful in negotiating a contract with the Yankees. Brian Cashman, in a conversation with ESPN, said that the Yankees offered Judge a $230 million contract for seven years.
While critics and experts believed that given Judge’s increasing age, accepting the contract was the best way to go, Judge thought otherwise. Consequently, Judge is now a free agent and is betting on himself. The MLB Network talked about Judge’s current form and the confidence he displayed while betting on himself. They said, “It means even more because he bet on himself. This is walk season and when you start to think about players that bet on themself getting into their walk season, you can have a down season but all rise. He has risen to the occasion.”
They also made a bold claim. They said, “He’s arguably the best hitter in the game.”
Will Judge cross Babe Ruth and Roger Maris?
Aaron Judge, who just hit his 50th homer of 2022, is racing against time. Roger Maris is currently leading the list of the American League home runs in one season. That being said, Judge has time as a friend given the Yanks’ solidified position in the AL East Division. As a result, the Yanks have fixed their postseason birth.

Any conversation with Judge and the Yanks ends with two major questions. Firstly, will the Yanks make the World Series? And, will Judge overtake Roger Maris?
