Despite being a great ball player in Major League Baseball, Alex Rodriguez will go down as one of the most controversial athletes in America. Although the Yankees legend does not do it on purpose, he always finds himself surrounded by controversies.

In one of his many controversial incidents, Alex Rodriguez once got accused of portraying ace American swimmer Ryan Lochte’s wife in a wrong way. Notably, Ryan Lochte is a renowned figure in the Olympics sport. After this incident, Lochte once slammed A-Rod for his behavior.

Lochte has probably been the best swimmer after the legendary Michael Phelps. And had it not been for the 2016 Rio Olympics incident, Lochte would not have lost his respect and dignity in the sporting fraternity.

However, in an attempt to make Lochte look good, A-Rod ended up hunting Lochte’s feelings. A-Rod said something about Lochte’s wife that the 12-time Olympic medalist did not like.

Talking about the same, a year later, Lochte opened up about the incident. He believed A-Rod portrayed his wife in inappropriately.

“I do not have anything to hide… I did not like it. Like the perception, he portrayed to my wife was completely wrong. We were looking at cars. Because we wanted a trade-in her car for the show… And to cutdown the expenses and they made her say like, ‘I would never drove this.’ And that’s not her,” said Lochte to Graham Bensinger.

“It portrayed her as being the superficial person and that’s not her at all. And I was really hurt about that part. Because I have to protect my family and I was pissed off about that. I was like this bullsh*t what are they doing?”

Ryan Lochte faced backlash after lying about an incident during the 2016 Rio Olympics. Per Yahoo.com, the former swimmer lied about being held at gunpoint. And this one mistake inarguably cost him his legacy in swimming. With 12 Olympic medals in his bag, Lochte is only second to Michael Phelps.
