The Philadelphia Phillies may have walked out of their game with the LA Angels as victors, but only just. The Phillies were trailing at the bottom of the 9th before a last gasp rescue for the match. Alec Bohm, third baseman for the Phillies, made his way to the dugout angrily after his time at home plate ended. While only the bottom of the 1st, Bohm understandably expected more from himself. The #28 made his way to the dugout frustrated, and he made it known that he was not a happy camper. However, while understandably angry with the situation, expressing it in the way he did is a risky venture, and he just showed us why that is.

Alec Bohm avoids serious injury in the dugout

Alec Bohm found himself on the receiving end of what could have been a very serious injury. While Bohm left with a minor cut on his neck, the potential of what happened was more intense. Angry at how his innings had ended, Bohm made his way back to the dugout and slammed his bat back into the place.

However, he missed his mark and, as a result, he had the bat ricochet and hit him in the neck. Nursing a bleeding injury, the camera caught him upset with himself at the end of the incident. While no update has been forthcoming about the injury, it appears that it is not a serious one.
