New York Yankees may have a talented roster with excellent baseball players, but that doesn’t mean they can’t venture into other sports. Specifically, mini golf. Spring training is upon us and come Opening Day, all teams will dress to impress. But as the Pinstripes get ready to play together, a little team bonding with mini golf brought out everyone’s competitive side. And pitcher Nestor Cortes Jr. left everyone in the dust with his skills.
Cortes Jr. had been suffering from a right hamstring injury last season, but he was determined to not let it keep him from training. The 28-year-old has quickly become a fan favorite with his unique throwing style, not to mention the signature mustache. Cortes became an official Yankee in the major leagues in 2021 and had a successful season. But now he’s showing fans that he’s not just skilled in baseball but golf too, at a course designed by Tiger Woods himself!

The Yankees’ manager Aaron Boone told The New York Post, “I think these last few days, grateful for the umpires that have come out here and helped us out in that regard.
