Texas Rangers took home the first win of the Fall Classic against Arizona Diamondbacks on October 27 and the Rangers owe their opener victory to none other than Corey Seager and Adolis Garcia. Seager’s ninth-inning game-tying home run and García’s 11 walk-off 11th-inning homer were a sight to behold. It gave the Rangers a 6-5 victory over the D-backs.

García, also known as El Bombi, secured his second RBI of the game, setting a straight record with 22 RBIs. The game truly kept the spectators on their toes Friday night.

Texas Rangers outfielder, Adolis Garcia, recently won the ALCS Most Valuable Player, and his walk-off blast against reliever Miguel Castro, at Global Life Field, solidified his position further in the playoff records in AL/NL history. García has overshadowed David Freese’s 21 mark from 2011 which he set during the Cardinals’ World Series. García’s homer has become the second-longest streak in the postseason records.

On the other hand, with his game-tying home run, Corey Seager sparked an awe-striking Rangers’ comeback. With this, his 2023 postseason records have jumped to .327/.484/.673. It doesn’t appear a surprise given his long list of accomplishments. As a shortstop, he has delivered 17 career postseason homers, only behind Derek Jeter and Carlos Correa. He was the 2020 World Series MVP.

After securing their spot in the Fall Classic, the Texas Rangers secured an impressive win in a solid match against the Arizona Diamondbacks. It was a dramatic game, that offered a good response to the cynics. Bruce Bochy, Texas skipper remarked, “It’s right there at the top.”

And, both Seager and García celebrated the Rangers’ Game 1 victory. Josh Jung, Rangers rookie said for García, “He’s on another planet.”…It’s just like wow.” Even Seager elaborately praised García for his walk-off homer. “Special players step up in moments like that,” Seager added. The 6-5 victory between the wild-card teams this World Series was definitely off the charts in terms of entertainment and enthusiasm.

The Rangers have strong players with spectacular performance records. The series opener has left fans wanting for more with Seager’s tying shot in the 9 innings, and García’s HR in the 11 during the 2023 Fall Classic.
