The rapper definitely did not like being called “too urban” and lashed out his frustration on social media and said, “Wow, guess I’m not a Yankees fan anymore. LET’S GO METS?” Followed by, “Man, you can’t trust nobody these day.smh.”
The rapper did feel betrayed after getting blocked out from a deal by the Yankees slugger. And decided to stop being a fan of the entire team. This betrayal controversy happened when Jeter was already retired from the New York Yankees and was not playing professionally.
Did Jeter really block the rapper from a deal?
The baseball legend Derek Jeter countered back on the allegations made against him by the company, Frigo. Wherein, he denied every single allegation that was put against him.
According to the report by TMZ, the company had apparently lost 30 million dollars. This happened after Jeter backed out to endorse Frigo and act as a company director.

But, Jeter said, “I facilitated the introductory meeting between 50 Cent and the company, so it makes absolutely no sense that I would object to 50 Cent being a Frigo brand ambassador or think that 50 Cent is ‘too urban’ for the brand.”
The slugger felt disgusted by the false allegations put on him by Frigo owner, Mathias Ingvarsson. Jeter then counter-sued the company, and said, “Mr. Ingvarsson’s statements are particularly malicious because he knew all along that I never agreed to be a spokesperson or ambassador for the brand, and that is confirmed in documents that Mr. Ingvarsson himself signed.”
Well, it looks like Jeter did not betray the rapper, and that all that, was just a misconception.
