The Los Angeles Dodgers are in trouble. While the team has been leading the NL West with confidence, one of their players has caused some controversy in the league. The club is currently on the road to play a series against the Miami Marlins at LoanDepot Park. A few of their players were also invited to another huge sports game happening in the City of Angels before they traveled to Florida. But things took a strange turn when Julio Urias got arrested.

The star pitcher has been valuable to the team ever since he joined them and even helped lead the Boys in Blue to a World Series in 2020. On Sunday, he was invited to Lionel Messi‘s Inter Miami vs. LAFC battle along with teammates Mookie Betts and Clayton Kershaw. But while the latter two probably didn’t show up, Urias was in attendance. However, around 11 p.m., police arrested him at BMO Stadium.

The attendance was record-breaking. Messi is a global superstar whose influence has kept Inter Miami undefeated since his joining. Playing against the reigning MLS Cup champions, the team attracted a star-studded crowd from Hollywood as well as sports. One of them was Julio Urias, whose night ended unexpectedly.

Exposition Park public safety officers placed the ace under arrest late at night and according to The Associated Press, they did not reveal the reason immediately. But the truth later came out – the charges had to do with domestic violence. The arrest was made at the park, which is home to BMO Stadium.
