Khabib Nurmagomedov is a very well-known figure in the sport world. The UFC fighter is not only one of the biggest names in the promotion, he is also one of the biggest names in sport. It is also very well known that ‘The Eagle’ is a massive football fan and supports Real Madrid.
Khabib is without a doubt one of the best fighters to have fought in the lightweight division. He is also slowly building a case for being one of the best fighters in the sport. A win against Justin Gaethje will further cement his legacy as one of the best to ever do it. However, this is easier said than done.
In a recent interview with Adam Catterall, Khabib stated how he liked to be first in everything he did. Catterall jokingly mentioned the billiard match between the two and demanded a re-match. Nurmagomedov replied saying, “Anytime. After this fight, I’m going to travel a lot. I’m going to come to London. I really want to watch a lot of games. You know, Manchester, Liverpool, Manchester City.”
Khabib continued, “I know they have great stadiums. With big, big history. I know without crowd, but what we can do? I really want to come. Maybe November they have brilliant match, and see you there.”
Khabib Nurmagomedov will aim to defend his belt for the third time this weekend. They tout the fight between the two men as the ‘greatest lightweight title fight of all time’. The numbers seem to agree with the aforementioned statement.
UFC president recently revealed that UFC 254 was on track to be the most successful PPV event of all time. This title is currently held by the UFC 229 card headlined by Conor and Khabib. If Khabib and Justin were to break this record, it would be huge not only for the promotion but also both fighters involved as well.
Do you think the UFC 254 card will be able to break the record or the most successful PPV event of all time? Or will it fall short of UFC 229?
