Former UFC lightweight champion and now retired mixed martial artist Khabib Nurmagomedov has left an impression that will be hard to emulate. Many talented fighters seek inspiration from his career and even want to train with him. One of those fighters goes by the name of Movsar Evloev.

The Russian featherweight fighter, just like many others, wants to train with ‘The Eagle’. In an interview with RT Sports MMA, Evloev detailed his time in the featherweight division, his views on other fighters, and of course, his wish to train with Khabib.

“To be honest, we haven’t,” Evloev said when asked about asking Khabib for training. “He has a lot of things to do now. He also helps his teammates in San Jose now, as far as I know.

“I don’t have any plans to go to San Jose to train with Khabib now. But I hope in the future- when both he and I will have some free time, we will find an opportunity to meet and train together.”

Evloev added that it will be interesting for him to ask ‘The Eagle’ questions about ground control and wrestling on whole.

“So when we will be passing each other, I will have a chance to ask him what should I do and how to successfully get up there,” he concluded.

Movsar Evloev is unbeaten in his MMA career, just like Khabib Nurmagomedov

Evloev (15-0) hasn’t yet tasted a defeat in his entire professional career, a trait he shares with ‘The Eagle‘. The latter remained undefeated for 29 straight matches and retired as the undisputed lightweight champion.

Evloev is still fresh talent in UFC and has competed in just 5 matches for the promotion. One other thing that makes him similar to ‘The Eagle’ is his method of approach.
