Almost three weeks after their Twitter feud, Khabib Nurmagomedov finally clarifies who was the real culprit behind those tweets. In a recent interview with ESPN MMA, “The Eagle” told Marc Raimondi that it was him, not Ali Abdelaziz, who was operating the account.

“It was myself, it was myself, I was writing this,” he told Marc Raimondi, “It was myself, it was not Ali one hundred percent”

Furthermore, he mentions that Ali could never write something like this because Gaethje and he have a good relationship between them and they are good friends who’ve known each other for more than seven or eight years.

“Ali never gonna write something like to Justin Gaethje”, he told ESPN MMA, “I know they have good relationship, like many years like maybe like seven or eight years. These guys like very good friend you know,” Khabib added.

The scuffle started when Justin Gaethje, in an interview with ESPN MMA, claimed that he deserves a championship bout after his legendary match with Michael Chandler at UFC 268.

Conversely, Khabib dismissed the claim through a comment from his official Instagram account. He believed that his friend and protege Islam Makhachev, who is on a nine-match winning spree, deserves it a lot more than someone like Justin Gaethje.
