In the last pay-per-view event of the year, Dustin Poirier took on Charles Oliveira for the lightweight strap. Almost the entire UFC fan base and the media as well picked Poirier to win the fight. However, things did not go to plan for ‘The Diamond’ at UFC 269.

‘Do Bronx’ successfully defended his title for the first time against ‘The Diamond’ with yet another finish added to his highlight reel. Following the champion’s win over Poirier, many believe that Justin Gaethje would be next for ‘Do Bronx’.
