One of the main topics regarding UFC’s stint at Fight Island is the title picture and Khabib Nurmagomedov’s decision regarding his future. Dana White announced on TV that he had met with Khabib Nurmagomedov. According to ‘The EagleCharles Oliveira impressed him. However, he was still undecided about his future.

The lightweight champion stated that if either the co-main event or the main event produced something spectacular, it would entice him to come back for one last fight to make it 30-0. Dana replied, “No, he is cornering on Wednesday and then he leaves. So he leaves and goes to Vegas. I will have the fight and fly home on Sunday, and I’ll see him again in Vegas. So those fights would have played out. He and I are going to hook up and go for dinner in Vegas and talk again and we’ll make a decision. What he did say is, I will never hold up the division.”

Khabib Nurmagomedov is currently on Fight Island and in the fighter hotel. He will be cornering his cousin Umar Nurmagomedov at UFC Fight Island 8. Following that, he will be going to Vegas to help teammate Islam Makhachev prepare for his upcoming bout against Drew Dober.
