Novak Djokovic has been making the headlines for all the wrong reasons recently. It all started when he said he was apprehensive about taking a mandatory coronavirus vaccine. Many labeled him as an obscurantist who defied science.

Well, his latest comments might only add fuel to the fire. Djokovic has been conducting a series of interviews on his Instagram live with medical practitioners he trusts. Most of them go against the grain, for the lack of a better phrase. They apparently criticize medical science as we understand it and opt for more natural methods of healing.

In a recent video that has surfaced on the internet, Djokovic can be seen making some bizarre claims. This would certainly put him in the line of fire from those who have questioned his scientific knowledge. Let’s find out what Novak Djokovic has said now.

Novak Djokovic believes that a person’s emotions while eating a meal or drinking water can alter the nutritional value of the meal or water. This outlandish claim was after a long discussion with a medical practitioner subscribing to his deviant views.

“This is something which is I guess not linked to any form of official way of presenting nutrition and how you should eat and how you should drink. It’s the connection that you are talking about, the innate connection, and really being present and being conscious of the moment that you are drinking water.”

“And you know I’ve seen people and I know some people that through that energetical transformation, through the power of prayer, through the power of gratitude they manage to turn the most toxic food, or maybe the most polluted water into the most healing water. Because water reacts and you know scientists have proven that. Obviously, molecules of the water react to our emotions, to what is being said. So I truly believe that we should continuously, every single day remind ourselves that when we sit, we sit without cameras, without phones and without watching things and stuff. Or even worse, having a, you know, nervous discussions and conflictual discussions on the table  with your closed ones during your meal and dinner.”

You certainly expect a player of the stature of Novak Djokovic to give more informed opinions. He might wholeheartedly believe in this but his PR is definitely suffering a lot. We hope that better sense prevails.
