After nine different winners across the opening 10 races of the season, Kansas provides a chance for another driver to book his playoff spot. As the track returns in the playoffs, it holds a lot of importance every season.

Denny Hamlin and Joey Logano will be particularly confident going into the Kansas race. Hamlin won the regular-season race there in July last year, while Logano won the Round of 8 playoff race in October 2020.

Hamlin currently leads the Cup Series points table with 446 points, with Martin Truex Jr. behind him in second place with 359 points. Harvick (7th) and Elliott (8th) are the only winless drivers, apart from Hamlin, currently in the top-10 on points.
