Ever since Las Vegas, everything happening in the NASCAR community seems to circle back to Bubba Wallace, wrecking Kyle Larson. And we can’t even blame anyone, because what Wallace did was quite evidently dangerous, and seriously unethical. But the 23XI Racing driver can’t catch a break because Michael Jordan’s partner has more bad news.

Wallace is losing more and more as he progresses further in the season.

The latest news from a NASCAR analyst suggests the 23XI driver could take a big hit in his purse this season. Although we don’t know how the team is internally dealing with the fiasco, but we might have a little closure now. Because news suggests Wallace could be looking at a $1 Million loss in fines from the 23XI purse.

It’s a big deal to lose a million, especially when his reported salary is $2.2 Million a year. But Denny Hamlin has a good reason for it, and he takes a shot at Bubba’s values on track, which don’t align with his team’s philosophy.

“He understands where I stand, where the team stands, the values that we want to present on the racetrack, and he just didn’t represent it that well last week,” Hamlin said. “But, you know, in the grand scheme of things, we’re very happy with his progress. And he knows he’s still got some stuff to work on when he gets out of the race car.”

It isn’t easy to justify Wallace’s actions. But is the million-dollar smack-in-the-face fair? Let us know in the comments.

Bubba Wallace has no regrets for his actions

Hooking another driver at over 170 Miles per hour is incredibly scary. Especially with all the controversy surrounding the next-gen car causing concussions in crashes over that speed. Yet, the driver has no regrets.

When asked about the incident, he just said, “He knows what he did was wrong. He wanted to question what I was doing; he never cleared me. Just hate it for our team.”

He didn’t apologize for it until 2 days later.

Instead, he just went on to talk about how sad it is for the team, “Our McDonald’s Toyota Camry was super solid. We just needed to find a little on the short run and get the balance where we needed it, and it would have been just like Kansas. Now the car’s junk.”
