NASCAR can be proud to say that several of its venues have some very unique trophies. The Dover International Speedway is one such race track, as the trophy depicts the track mascot Miles the Monster, holding a NASCAR car in one hand. This is mainly because the track is nicknamed the Monster Mile. Now every year, the car being brandished in Miles’ hand changes. For the 2023 edition, Chase Elliott will have the honor of having his #9 car held aloft.

The race track made this move because he was the last race winner at the Monster Mile. Apparently, it is a tradition for the race winner to have their car held by Miles the Monster. The previous recipient of this honor, was Elliott’s teammate, Alex Bowman. Of course, whether that would be a good luck charm, is anybody’s guess. Naturally, several Chase Elliott fans were absolutely thrilled and took to social media to express their joy.
