Several drivers were being linked to the Kaulig seat, including the likes of Rajah Caruth and Derek Kraus to name a couple. However, it was the man who made headlines earlier in the 2023 season by parking his car on the start/finish line in Atlanta who seems likely to join the Kaulig Xfinity program alongside ‘The Dinger’.

Kaulig Racing’s lineup for the Xfinity Series is officially blank. There are three available full-time seats, #10, #11, and #16. It has been heavily speculated that AJ Allmendinger will make his way back to the Xfinity Series and drive the #16 for the team. However, there have been no concrete rumors about his two teammates. Until now.

Kaulig Racing co-owner Chris Rice sent the NASCAR world into a frenzy when he revealed that the team would come out with an announcement on November 16 but it seems like part of the secret has already been spilled.

Eminent NASCAR journalist Jordan Bianchi seems to be in on the Josh Williams news as he alluded to the same in an earlier comment and since then, speculations have been going wild. As per one of NASCAR fans’ most trusted sources, Williams is headed to Matt Kaulig’s Xfinity program. The only thing that is left to be seen is what car he is put in and who that third full-time Xfinity Series driver will be.

With so many open seats at Kaulig Racing ahead of the 2024 NASCAR season, it is no wonder that they are the talk of the town. Daniel Hemric is the only driver who has been officially confirmed to have a full-time role in the Cup Series for the team. When it comes to the Xfinity Series, nothing has been confirmed by the racing outfit.

The team has been linked with people like Rajah Caruth, Derek Kraus, and even the recently re-instated Noah Gragson. Kraus has raced part-time in the Xfinity Series for the team and delivered some decent results. After the recent leak about Josh Williams, fans expressed their shock on Twitter while being divided over the decision.

NASCAR fans stunned at latest revelation with mixed feelings

Some fans were pleasantly surprised that Josh Williams was getting out of DGM Racing to join Kaulig and race alongside a veteran like AJ Allmendinger.

“JOSH WILLIAMS?!? DOPE!!!” one fan wrote on Twitter

“JOSH WILLIAMS?! LETS F*****G GO,” expressed another.

The reaction was not all positive as some felt that there are more deserving drivers than Josh Williams.

“Wait! Josh Williams to Kaulig? What about Derek Kraus? What about rajah Caruth?” asked one fan.

“JOSH WILLIAMS?!?!?! 😶😭” commented another expressing their disappointment.

“EXCUSE ME???” asked another.

If Josh Williams does sign for Kaulig Racing’s Xfinity program, it could turn out to be a long-term investment. Given that Williams is 30 years old, he has a lot of years ahead of him and would bring a balance of youth and experience to the table.

One take at a time

Drivers these days need to be more like Denny Hamlin and Bubba Wallace. Well, now you know who my favorites are. For me, it all began with my interest in F1, but I was just tired of Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen showing unparalleled dominance.
