ElizabethtonFormer NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt Jr is regarded as one of the most popular entities in the motor sporting world. Although he is no longer racing in NASCAR, he is a well-respected figure in the community. It is also worth mentioning that the driver hails from a rich racing pedigree. This is because his father and grandfather were both racing drivers, and so is his older half-brother and nephew.

Dale Earnhardt Jr’s father’s legendary NASCAR journey

As mentioned before, Dale Jr is the son of Dale Earnhardt and grandson of Ralph Earnhardt. Both of them were also racing drivers, though the former was much more successful. Dale Sr enjoyed a 27-year-long Cup career and is regarded as a legend in NASCAR and motorsport circles. Admittedly, his career could have stretched longer had he not suffered a fatal accident at the 2001 Daytona 500. Nevertheless, Dale Earnhardt Jr left behind an indelible mark in NASCAR history books and record books. In 1994, he tied with Richard Petty’s record tally of seven Cup Series titles, which Jimmie Johnson later equaled.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. and his furry family

The family of four soon welcomed more members, except that the newcomers were much furrier. When he was younger, the Earnhardt clan had a ‘mean as hell‘ dog, whom Dale Sr doted on. Later down the line, Dale Earnhardt Jr. became the proud owner of an Irish setter called Gus and a Pomeranian called Junebug.

Late last year, Amy Earnhardt shared a social media post that highlighted the difficulty of being a parent. The post said, “Let’s all take a moment of silence for toddler parents. As we prepare for a day of chasing our overstimulated children around in an un-baby-proofed house. After they’ve skipped their nap, and are powered only by dinner rolls and spite. Stay blessed.”

As the parents of two children under the age of five, taking care of two toddlers would not have been a walk in the park. Hopefully, for the couple’s sake, that Isla and Nicole were not uncooperative.
