Kyle Larson is undoubtedly a once-in-a-generation driver. The 2021 Cup Series champion is always a favorite going into a race given his exceptional racing skills and his dirt racing background. While the HMS ace is busy with his already packed NASCAR schedule, his passion for the “Last Great American Sport” of racing has brought him to the midget racing scene again.

The Hendrick Motorsports driver is looking to take on the hot-headed and ambitious Justin Grant at the crown jewel event of midget racing, the Chilli Bowl.

Ahead of his much-anticipated race as he takes on the newcomer, Larson was seen in Floracing’s Dirt series. And starting off its first episode, Larson broke the ever-prevailing NASCAR stereotype regarding the traditional dirt racing rounds.

Kyle Larson “hates” the stereotype as he reveals the real scenario of the sport

Alex Bowman‘s ill-fated accident in a local Sprint race has alarmed the community of wandering into other motorsports disciplines while being active in the Cup arena. However, it is not enough to deter Kyle Larson as he goes ahead following his heart.

The versatile dirt race expert has now joined the midget racing promotion and is looking to take on the in-form Justin Grant as part of the crown jewel event of midget racing, the Chilli Bowl. Recently, a popular YouTube channel has partnered to present a series “Dirt” to promote upcoming events.

The community saw the #5 driver flex his abilities behind the wheel as he laid down a list. He said, I feel like, I’m probably the only one that can really judge competition level between dirt and NASCAR because I do it all I race—dirt, sprint cars, midgets, dirt late models, Cup cars.”

Then the driver went on to bust an ever-prevailing stereotype among NASCAR fans. Larson briefed how these different disciplines got their own pros and cons. He said, Core NASCAR fans sometimes think dirt racing is stepping down, it’s not stepping down at all and I hate that kind of stereotype and it’s all equally tough. It’s all got its really good guys in each series.”

With 14 wins to his Cup Series career and a stellar championship run in 2021, the HMS speedster has established himself as one of the best in the business. As he goes on following his heart, aside from the midget and Cup Series races, the driver is also trying his luck in the upcoming “double” as he is eyeing his debut Indy 500 later in 2024.
