The NASCAR circuit welcomed another major name to its team ownership table as the world-renowned performer, Pitbull, joined the Trackhouse Racing team as co-owner. This announcement sent out a lot of excitement in the NASCAR world, and one of its star drivers, Bubba Wallace, too expressed his excitement.

Wallace welcomed Pitbull to NASCAR, and feels the move is “Pretty dope!”

Bubba Wallace also drives for a new team involving a superstar owner

Pitbull is the co-owner of the team with former NASCAR driver Justin Marks, with Daniel Suarez as the team’s driver. Co-incidentally, even Bubba Wallace is the new driver for a new team that has a superstar owner.

NBA legend and one of the greatest sportspersons of all-time, Michael Jordan teamed up with Denny Hamlin to form 23XI Racing.

Wallace and Suarez will both attract a lot of eyes in the 2021 season. The two teams will have a lot of attention on them as well.

Coming to Trackhouse Racing, Pitbull’s involvement in NASCAR is a major added boost for the sport. He is a superstar in the world of music and stage performances, and has many millions of followers across his social media handles too.

NASCAR welcomed the superstar artist with open arms, saying they are very positive about attracting various types of fans to the sport.

How Pitbull’s involvement enhances NASCAR’s reach

Pitbull is an iconic talent in the music industry and has tremendous passion for NASCAR racing. We look forward to working with him to further engage diverse audiences and introduce new fans to our great sport,” NASCAR said in their statement.

The presence of Pitbull and Jordan adds so much star power to the sport. Additionally, there is a strong possibility of another sporting great in Floyd Mayweather entering the team ownership scenario very soon.

This is not the first time Pitbull has shown his affection towards NASCAR. In 2020, Pitbull also performed in a special music video ahead of the Xfinity and Cup Series season finales.

NASCAR is a culture, says Pitbull

Speaking about his new role, Pitbull went on to call NASCAR not just a sport, but a culture.

As soon as I met Justin, Ty Norris (team president), and Daniel, we were on the same page. They welcomed me aboard, and now we’re going to show the world NASCAR is not only a sport but it’s a culture,” he expressed.

Pitbull also intends to attend the 2021 season opener – the iconic Daytona 500 next month. If Jordan also makes it there to support Bubba Wallace, NASCAR fans will be in for a memorable day.
