When Kyle Larson had his off-track incident, the Chip Ganassi Racing team dropped him from the team. In addition to that, a number of sponsors also deserted him posthaste. Fast food giant, McDonald’s was one of those sponsors, but rumor has it that they are planning to return. One of the teams they could return with is 23XI Racing, where Bubba Wallace will drive the No. 43 car.

They are expected to reunite with the Chip Ganassi Racing team. This time, the #42 car will be piloted by Ross Chastain, who is making his Cup Series debut. Meanwhile, Kyle Larson is back in action for the 2021 season, this time with the Hendrick Motorsports team.

Obviously, there may be a different set of sponsors for Larson’s Hendrick Motorsports stint. However it appears that the fast food giant may ally itself with the newcomer.

McDonalds may also tie up with Bubba Wallace-led 23XI Racing

However, McDonald’s won’t stop there with its NASCAR partnerships. Rumor has it that they could also partner with the 23XI Racing team in 2021. Truthfully speaking, this move makes a lot of sense, as Bubba Wallace shares a great relationship with the brand. In fact, the company has sponsored Wallace several times in past races.

As a bonus, 23XI co-owner Michael Jordan also endorsed the fast food brand. This will obviously strengthen the team’s chances of landing McDonald’s as their official sponsor. It isn’t uncommon for one brand to sponsor two completely different teams. The last sponsored Bubba Wallace in 2019 when he was still racing for the Richard Petty Motorsports team.

The team ran a new paint scheme to promote the use of bacon on McDonald’s food. To be exact, the fast food chain added the popular meat to three items in its Classic menu.
