In a short span of time, the Hendrick Motorsports sensation, Kyle Larson has emerged as one of the best drivers on the current roster. Often called ‘Yung Money’, the 2021 Cup Series champ has evolved to be a fierce competitor on asphalt tracks, given his rich dirt racing roots.

While his traditional short-track dirt racing background gives him an added advantage on loose tracks like Bristol, the HMS driver has proved his mettle on the asphalt by racking up wins at Martinsville and Richmond Raceway like taking home 1 million cash prize at the returning NWB track.

However, despite being a renowned racer, following his total domination at local dirt tracks and even earning the praise of NASCAR great, Tony Stewart, Larson’s wife, Katelyn Larson recently made a shocking remark about the driver, exposing his “terrible” side.

#5 HMS Driver, Kyle Larson, is a legit contender for the championship. Though his 2023 career has been overshadowed by his notorious kerfuffle with arch rival, Ross Chastain as the rivals engaged themselves in a tussle on multiple separate occasions, Larson is still in the game with the 10th position in the standings.

His consistency and the keen ability to carry speed and momentum throughout a race have earned him a massive fanbase. Despite being in the Cup Series scene since 2013, Larson has always had an interest in Sprint races and late-model dirt races. And after conquering the dirt tracks consequently as “Yung Money,” he shifted his focus to the Cup Series, where his capabilities shined after a rough start with Chip Ganassi Racing.

Dirt, a FloRacing video series based on what the word implies, takes us through Larson’s background as a coveted dirt race. This time though, in the 4th episode, we caught his wife making a startling confession about her husband.

She said, “Kyle is the worst.” Citing the fate of their 2-week-old can, Katelyn said, “He is also a terrible driver on the road by the way like the worst road driver.”

Hearing this, out of astonishment even the camera crew asked, “Kyle is?” To which, Larson’s wife explained her point, “Kyle is the worst, he’s gonna be mad that I said this, but this is a new car and we had it for 2 weeks and he hit a curb like 3 times already, scratched the wheel, I’m like come on do you [not] know how to turn into a parking lot?”

Furthermore, Katelyn also mentioned how the fans loved Larson as she cited the “amazing response” from the community.

Even while he is competing in Cup Series, Larson has always been the type of guy to never miss an opportunity to hit the dirt track even amidst his busy schedule. His reign as a certified dirt expert only got strong in lieu of Tony Stewart’s reassuring gesture, handing him the bonus cheque.

From being a nobody to becoming a star attraction, that’s what a fan recalls about his journey. With fans in awe of his talent, Katelyn also reveals the warm reception they got on the tracks as fans lined up for his merchandise. She said, “It was an amazing response from the fans because our lines were long and they have never stopped being long.”

She further mentions how their printing companies are with their hands full. “I got the t-shirt printing companies pretty backed up and kind of everybody else in the industry may be irritated with us but we’re back on track.”
