In an engaging journey since its inception, Superstar Racing Experience (SRX), the brainchild of NASCAR legend Tony Stewart, has seen three different champions lift its prestigious trophy, each creating a fresh mark in the world of motorsports. As the doors closed on a breathtaking third season, viewers were gifted a great finale on Thursday. The 2023 edition of SRX Racing reached an adrenaline peak as NASCAR Cup Series ace Brad Keselowski composed a recovery from a terrible start to finish runner-up in a gritty show of resilience and will.

In a post race interview with Matt Weaver, content strategist at Racing America, Keselowski came out in the open and revealed the regrets that he had after the six fierce on track battles that he fought.

During the exchange, Matt Weaver inquired, “Holistically, after the last six weeks, how was your overall SRX experience?”

Counting back on time, Keselowski responded with a mix of contemplation and reflection. “It was good,” he said. “I wish I could have the first two weeks back, you know.” He went on to divulge into the initial races of the series and revealed his frustration over the wrecks that he suffered at Stafford Motor Speedway and Thunder Road SpeedBowl. Acknowledging that the cause of those unfortunate incidents was none but himself, he said, “I just dug a hole for myself”. Despite the hopes that he had of winning at the Berlin Raceway and the Motor Mile Speedway, those races didn’t go as he’d planned either.

Brad Keselowski finished the season in a commendable third spot with 167 points, 45 points behind the newly crowned champion, Ryan Newman.

Now that SRX is done, what’s next for Brad Keselowski?

With just 2 more races being left in the NASCAR regular season, Keselowski is one of the drivers who hasn’t yet made it into the final 16 playoff spots. Michael McDowell’s unexpected win at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway made a complete fiasco of things and as it stands, a win at the upcoming race at the Watkins Glen International would cement Keselowski’s spot in the playoffs. But a driver from outside the current top 16 winning the race could spell trouble for Keselowski.

And as fate would have it, a lot of big names, such as Chase Elliott and Daniel Suarez, currently sit outside the fray. Driving the No. 6 Ford Mustang for his own team RFK Racing, Brad Keselowski currently sits at 8th place in the NASCAR Cup Series standings.
