Last year was a troubled time for Joe Gibbs Racing‘s disgruntled driver, Kyle Busch. However, later on, we heard about his departure from the team and subsequent move to RCR. Now, with only a few weeks before the start of the season, Rowdy was able to get himself some time in the car with his new team. Recently, Busch along with Tyler Reddick and Austin Cindric had the opportunity to take part in a tire test. The test was held at the Circuit of The Americas.

Now, after moving into RCR had a lot of positive things to say about the team following his first run with the car. It also seemed like RCR trying its best to make sure that Busch was comfortable in the transition. Moreover, during these tests, Busch ran a total of 200 laps at the Austin, Texas-based circuit.

What did Kyle Busch have to say about running the RCR car for the first time?

During an interview with NBC Sports, Busch mentioned that he “Had a lot of fun.” He also added that ” [He] was able to work with the guys and really (have) good communication, give good feedback, and have that opportunity to have a dialogue of ‘Let’s do this. Let’s do this. Let’s try this. What do you think about this?’”

Furthermore, ” [Was] able to talk about the car in ways I’m used to and have them hear me describe things in certain ways, so they can get a better understanding where, as you go on you can say less words and they get what you’re saying.”

As per his comments following the test, it feels that RCR must be trying everything in its capacity to make sure Busch is comfortable with his transition. Especially since his rough breakup with Joe Gibbs Racing last year.

Busch had previously opened up about everything he had to go through during his last season at JGR. Furthermore, last year it was evident that Busch was waiting for the year to end as soon as possible. There was even a point when the two-time champion had to consider his exit from the sport. However, thankfully, he was rescued just in time by RCR. Following the announcement of his move, Busch looked visibly happier as well. Furthermore, last year, after the end of the season, Busch also had the chance to bond with the RCR family and his new teammate.
