The thing about NASCAR fans is that not only are they pretty particular about what they like and what they don’t, but they’re also pretty vocal about the particularities they approve and disapprove of. One such case was the clear disapproval of WWE Hall of Famers, and their involvement in a forthcoming race.
For the NASCAR Cup Series race at Sonoma Raceway in the second weekend of June, WWE Hall of Famers, The Bella Twins were announced as the Honorary Grand Marshals.

And it was this inclusion that really irked almost all of the fans who reacted to this news.

Sonoma Raceway can’t wait to welcome NASCAR back to the track
Jill Gregory, the Executive Vice President and General Manager of the Sonoma Raceway, recently expressed her excitement about welcoming NASCAR back.

When the Next Gen cars roll into town later this month, it’d be the first time since the beginning of the pandemic that an event of such a scale is being hosted at the venue.
“I would say we’re not only ready, we can’t wait,” Gregory said.

“I think that we all saw this in the past couple of years, that being in the live-event business whether you’re on the track side or on the NASCAR side, we missed that excitement of a full race weekend. And so for us, it will be the first one since 2019.”

Gregory revealed that they still haven’t been able to “take a crack” at a full NASCAR weekend. But this time around, with all the excitement and the inclusion of the fan experience, they can’t wait to “show off” Sonoma Raceway to the industry.
