Turkish baller Alperen Sengun sent out an emotional message to Tari Eason after his career night. While the Houston Rockets center had a special night on the court, the 22-year-old Eason also had an important day of his career. After suffering from a leg injury throughout the season, Eason underwent a season-ending surgery yesterday.

As a respect to his injured friend, Sengun dedicated his career night of 45 points to Eason, and he also had an emotional message during the post-game interview. Sengun said, “I am standing this game for Tari Eason. I love him. He gonna come back more stronger. We need him… Next year is gonna be easier.”

The Rockets took on the San Antonio Spurs, who were fresh off a two-game winning streak, led by Victor Wembanyama force. The French baller stepped on the court with an NBA record against his name. While he was expected to continue from where he left off, it was another big man who stole the night.

While the fans were hyped about the Chet Holmgren-Wemby match-ups, the league might have landed another classic one-on-one rivalry. It was clearly Sengun who won the contest tonight. Sengun out scored Wemby with 45 points with 16 rebounds. At the same time, he also extracted 4 fouls from the Spurs big men, making a strong case for the next star big man.

Even though the 21-year-old rising star’s game was dominant on the court, he doubled it down with a humble and a heart-warming gesture to his injured teammate.

Eason will only be back in action in the next season and would look to add more advantage to the side. In this season, the Rockets have barely made it to the Play-in Tournament, as the team is currently in the 12th seed with 27 wins. They will require a series of wins to climb up the ladder. Will Alperen Sengun turn into a lethal force in the coming years? Let us know in the comments below.
