Dereck Lively II Interrupts Kyrie Irving’s Post Game Interview To Deliver Special Message

Kyrie Irving once again took the Mavs past the finish line. Tonight, the Dallas Mavericks took on the lethal Sacramento Kings at Golden 1 Center. The game went down the wire and Mavs required a clutch master to finish the game in their favor. Irving, the fourth-quarter king, delivered again by dropping 14 points in the last quarter alone.
Following the game, Uncle Drew picked up the mic for the post-game interview. While he was speaking, the star’s teammate Derreck Lively interrupted him and said, “Kyrie we trust!”

Tonight, Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic didn’t get much support from their teammates. The duo dropped 56 points together, while the rest of the starting line-up dropped 20. Even the bench pitched in only 31 points. Without Irving’s 14-point outing in the last quarter, the Mavs looked nowhere closer to winning this game.
Moreover, things could have gone south for the Dallas side, as Uncle Drew almost pulled himself out of the game with an injury. While he tried to walk to the bench during a timeout in the first half, Irving suddenly pulled his leg. He immediately walked into the locker room. Everyone thought that the star guard wouldn’t return to that floor. But he not only returned to the floor, he also produced a game-winning performance in the last quarter. Notably, Irving scored the number of points in the 4th quarter in the last season. This season, Doncic picked up the 7th spot with 426 points and Irving has scored 312 points.

Kyrie Irving stats
The Mavs had a slow start to the season dealing with frustrating losses in the beginning. As the season proceeded, the team turned into a lethal force, producing winning streaks consistently. Kyrie and Luka’s partnership proved to be the factor that turned up the fire. After missing a bunch of games in December with an injury, Irving returned to the Mavs’ fold with a new zeal. He averaged 28.9 points in January and continued to perform similarly in the coming months. This season, overall, he has averaged 25.4 points, supporting Doncic, who has averaged 28.6 points.
Currently, the Mavs are in the 6th seed after the win against the Sac Town. But, they need to win consistently to keep themselves away from the play-in contention. Next up, they face the in-form Houston Rockets. They have to break the Rockets’ 11-game winning streak to keep themselves at the 6th seed.
