Stocks of the Cleveland Cavaliers are on the rise. Following the departure of LeBron James in 2018, the Cavs endured a few challenging seasons. However, due to some exceptional trades and draft decisions, the Cavaliers are back in the playoff semis. However, they have a challenging series ahead of them against the Boston Celtics. The Celtics have raced to a 3-1 series lead, and their latest win was a real gut punch for the Cavs’ fans.

The Cavaliers put up a good fight at home, keeping the game close until the final minutes, but ended up losing 109-102. However, all eyes were on LeBron James before the game, as he showed up with his wife, Savannah James. The Cavs’ fans even gave LeBron a standing ovation, proving that the Cavs’ faithful still hold him in high regard. This show of love and respect from the Cavaliers fans prompted former NFL star Chad Johnson (A.K.A. Ocho) to suggest that James should finish his career in Cleveland.

During the latest episode of the NightCap podcast, Ocho urged LeBron James to “finish your story the right way.” He said, “If you want to write a story and finish it the right way. As LeBron James, you wanna finish your story the right way, and close that book, and just be complete.” His co-host, Shannon Sharpe, interjected and said, “Well, one way to ensure that is you draft Bronny.” Ocho replied to Sharpe’s comments by saying, “Bingo. There goes your happy ending.”

Returning to the Cleveland Cavaliers would certainly be a heartwarming end to LeBron James’ illustrious career. But let’s face it, that’s probably not on the cards. And as for Cleveland drafting Bronny with the 20th pick in the 2024 NBA draft? Well, that seems like a long shot, too. So, where will LeBron end up next season?

What does the future hold for LeBron James?

Even the most optimistic fans of the Los Angeles Lakers would admit that the 2023–24 season was very underwhelming. Their season came to an end after the Denver Nuggets booted them out of the playoffs for the second successive season in the first round. After Game 5 of the series, LeBron James didn’t commit his future to the organization. He said, “I don’t have an answer … to be honest. I haven’t given it much thought.”
