Draymond Green and Jusuf Nurkić haven’t buried the hatchet. This was evident all through Saturday night when the Golden State Warriors emerged victorious at Chase Center. After the game, Nurkic had a mouthful to vent about Green’s antics. However, Stephen Curry nonchalantly silenced all the noise.

Jusuf Nurkic and Draymond Green’s beef dates back to the infamous punch that landed the latter a 12-game suspension. The Bosnian star had called for help for Green after his ejection during a postgame press conference. However, he decided to take his words back after another heated encounter. Seems like Stephen Curry had enough of the Phoenix Suns center after this.

Stephen Curry took a bold stance when he was questioned about Green vs Nurkic. It was plain and simple. Draymond Green was taking up space in Nurkic’s head. This made the 2x MVP lash out at the Bosnian center for his bold statements.

He said, “Easy to throw stones across the way. We have no idea what you’re talking about.” He also directed the media’s attention toward the Suns star’s actions during the game where he gestured “too small” at Green after scoring on him. Curry pointed out, “You can tell somebody is in your head when you go out of your way to you know, celebrate”. “Funny how the refs didn’t see that,” he added.

Chef Curry cooks up a masterclass

Stephen Curry and the Warriors have been on a terrific run, finally looking like their glorious selves in the past 4 games. While much of this can be credited to 21-year-old Jonathan Kuminga and the rest of the team stepping up their game, their leader, Curry, has led from the front with steady performances. However, against a gritty opponent like the Suns, Curry proved he was inevitable.

Fresh off a win against the Utah Jazz, the Suns were ready to sting a lower-seeded team in the Warriors. However, Stephen Curry had other plans. Dueling with his former teammate Kevin Durant throughout the game, Curry notched up a brilliant 30 points and 9 assists. While The Slim Reaper too went off for 24 points, it was Curry who had the last laugh. The 2x MVP hit an unbelievable three-pointer with the clock winding down to put the Warriors above the Suns by 1 point. This proved to be the final nail in the coffin as the Suns could not score in the next possession to take the lead. This capped off an instant classic where the Warriors prevailed due to a Chef Curry masterclass.
