The NBA personality worth $120 million dollars showed his unwavering support to Simmons during his time of need. He even put his own future at risk but did not back down from the commitment.

During Ben’s Philadelphia 76ers career, his agent Rich Paul massively helped him gain stardom. After going as the first overall pick in 2016, Paul even landed his client a five-year $177 million extension in 2019. Things took a turn for the worse when the player’s relationship with the franchise deteriorated, calling the agent into action.

The $120 million worth of NBA superagent talked about that phase in the recent episode of Gil’s Arena. “I stood in the fire with Ben Simmons,” he stated, showcasing his loyalty to his players. He added, “I stood right there. In front of him, by the way,” indicating how he actively tried to resolve the situation.

The 41-year-old even took a bet against his future for the Australian basketball star. “Putting my business at risk,” he mentioned while talking about what it nearly cost him. Rich still displayed his loyalty to the 27-year-old as he said, “If I can stand with him when his name is called number one, I gotta stand with him then”.

Despite his best efforts, Simmons’ career with the 76ers came to an end as he got traded to the Brooklyn Nets. The forward joined the super team of the Nets but soon was left all alone.
