When asked if those cheers turned into razzing had surprised him, Morant said, “I don’t know. There’s a lot of people who don’t like me, so, see where that got ‘em.”

“I guess the surprising part was I got called into the starting lineup. It was loud cheers but when the game started, went to boo’s. I don’t know the reason, I don’t know what I did to the Pelicans or their fans. But hey, they gotta root for their team. So, it’s all good.”

The game was fairly even till the last seconds. And if it weren’t for Morant, the Pelicans would’ve won the game. So, Morant didn’t give the Pelicans fans anything to cheer about either.
