The Bucks were on to a good start in the season, but on the 11th of November, they took a 112-97 loss from Orlando. This was their second consecutive loss after suffering a close 126-124 defeat at the hands of the Pacers. However, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Co. were not ready for what went down; the one thing that stung more than losing the game vs Magic was losing Jae Crowder, a veteran forward.

Jae, 33, asked for a timeout in the third quarter of the game and went straight into the locker room. A few minutes later, it was confirmed that he would be missing the rest of the game due to left groin soreness. That was just the beginning of the ordeal for Jae, who ended up undergoing surgery. This begs the question, when is he expected to return?

Jae Crowder to be expected in eight weeks

In a special interview with The Atlantic, the seasoned defender finally announces his probable comeback timeline to the much-anxious fans. Upon being asked whether eight weeks feels like the right time to return after the surgery and rehabilitation period, the 6’6″ forward replied,That’s the goal right now. That’s still the goal.”

After the groin injury on the 11th, an MRI report showed what everyone feared: he would have to undergo surgery. Two days later, the Bucks officials announced that Jae would require surgery on the left adductor and miss about eight weeks of games due to the recovery process. Well, it is reassuring to see that he is confident about his return, rest assured he does not have to worry about his team as they are in good hands.

The Bucks are currently leading the Central Division standing at a 13-6 rate. They were on a three-game winning streak that was put to an end by the Bulls on Thursday with a 120-113 OT win. On Saturday, they host the Hawks for their second match-off of the season.

Jae will be missing out on the action for a while, and the team will also be without one of their most versatile defenders. He has played nine games in the season so far, he has averaged 8.1 points, 3.9 rebounds, 1.7 assists, and 0.8 steals.
