“No. We’re still down. It’s just one win. Can’t get too high on it. Don’t get too low. Just got to try to win another one, man,” said Anthony Edwards after Game 3 between the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Oklahoma City Thunder. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and co. had got the better of the Timberwolves in the first 2 games of the Conference Finals. Fortunately, Minnesota turned things around with a 143-101 win. This 42-point margin win was majorly successful thanks to Anthony Edwards’ efficient shooting.

A similar feat will need to be replicated in Game 4 as well. While we do not yet know whether Anthony Edwards can do that, we do know that he will at least be available to try.

According to the Minnesota Timberwolves Injury Report, as highlighted by ESPN, Anthony Edwards’ name is nowhere to be found. This means that the lead scorer will be fully available to take on Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and co at the Target Center. Furthermore, it also means that the player’s calf troubles have not returned this postseason. Edwards had sustained a calf ailment during Game 1 of the Timberwolves-Lakers series. The 23-year-old had landed awkwardly after a missed layup with 3:02 minutes remaining in the 3rd quarter, when he sustained the injury.

He checked out of the game and went straight to the locker room, with a trainer walking alongside. Soon, it was revealed that the player had developed cramping and was declared questionable to return. Despite that, ANT returned when 10:57 remained in the 4th quarter.

For the Minnesota Timberwolves, no players are declared out of the game. The same, however, cannot be said about the Oklahoma City Thunder due to Nikola Topic. Topic underwent a successful left ACL procedure back in July 2024, which caused him to miss the entirety of the 2024-25 season. The player had begun practicing and was taking part in light shooting drills. Unfortunately, his condition is still not good enough to allow him to compete.

In light of these updates, neither team will have to make adjustments to their starting lineup.

What will the starting lineup and depth chart for the Timberwolves-OKC game look like?

Anthony Edwards, along with Julius Randle and Rudy Gobert, should be enough to handle things on the offensive front. Edwards certainly lived up to his reputation in the last game by scoring 30 points through 12-17 (70.6%) field goals, 5-8 (62.5%) free throws, and 1-2 (50.0%) free throws. Therefore, once again, he will be needed to carry the load on the offensive front. The starting lineup for the Minnesota Timberwolves is expected to look like this:
