As for the Mavericks, the team not only got Williams but also received two draft picks as well. Williams played his entire four seasons in the league with the Boston Celtics. He averaged 8.1 PPG on a 60.5 true shooting percentage.
While Williams may not have been the first choice off the bench, he has always been a key contributor. His long-range shooting often helped the Celtics out of a funk and the Mavericks hope he can do the same, if not better for them as well.
Recently, the 6’6 forward was seen courtside at a Dallas Wings game, chatting up Satou Sabally after the game. And fans finally got an idea as to why Williams came to Dallas after all.
Fans come to their own conclusion
Grant Williams talking to Satou Sabally has instantly gone viral on social media. And many believe that Williams may have had more than one reason to come to Dallas.
