Almost every hoops fan is aware of Dell Curry, Steph’s father, who played for the NBA. On the other hand, his mom, Sonya Curry, had also made a mark in volleyball as a collegiate athlete. However, let’s talk about the youngster budding Curry.

Stephen Curry’s eldest girl pursues her volleyball passion!

When Bronny James came into the limelight, the media already sealed that LeBron James’ eldest son would make it to the NBA. And rightly so, the LA Lakers picked him up in the 2024 draft. The hoop nation will witness a father-son duo on the court together for the first time in the league.

Similarly, when Riley Curry came into the spotlight, everyone expected her to pick the ball and follow in her father’s footsteps. But, she instead followed her grandmother. In 2023, speaking of Riley’s interest in Volleyball, Steph said, “I’ve introduced pretty much every sport, for the most part, to all of them.”

“Riley, she’s super into volleyball right now, and a light bulb went off, actually this year, where she’s excited to go to practice and dribbling or passing the ball around the house and all that type of stuff. So she’s found something she loves, and she’s passionate about it, and she loves to work at it.” At the same time, Steph added that she is too young and expects Riley’s interest in other sports may also blossom in the coming years.

So the legend has kept the tabs open for her. However, for now, he seems to be quite happy traveling to different places to watch his daughter play volleyball.
