Years after the ugly breakup, Ex-Dubs star Quinn Cook dropped bombs about the KD-Green feud. A few years ago, the Golden State Warriors created massive waves in the NBA world with an overpowered team. Kevin Durant joined hands with Stephen Curry & Co and produced back-to-back titles. It didn’t last after the third year, as injuries plagued the side and KD left the team. However, there was also another factor that played a role in the breakup, the Draymond Green-Durant feud.

Speaking of the feud in a recent podcast, Cook revealed that the Dubs management didn’t handle the issue effectively. In the latest episode of the Captain Jack Podcast, Cook unraveled hidden details of the ugly feud. He said, “When KD and Draymond got into it… on the bench, that kind of like, puts some stuff in our team and I’mma say it like Golden State didn’t handle it… it was never addressed to us.”

Quinn Cook further revealed how the improper management of the issue affected the team. He added, “We just never handled the situation, never. And that hurt us.” Moreover, he also agreed that there were a “lot of egos” at play during the ugly feud.

Apart from that, he also opened up about how coach Steve Kerr looked at the issue at that time. Cook said, “He’s (Kerr) been around basketball royalty… He said he’s never seen a team so closely scrutinized every single day.” Kevin Durant faced criticisms right from the day of the trade and it lasted till his last day as a Warriors player.

Eventually, the egos won over the players and the over-powered reunion came to an end after the 2019 Finals. While many expected the Warriors dynasty to end after that, Steph retained it with the 2022 Championship.

Are the Warriors undergoing a similar situation again?

Following KD’s exit, Green once again engaged in a feud with another teammate, Jordan Poole. The rising star also left the team after spending four years. Now, the Warriors seemed to have another problem: involving Green again.

The power forward has already done enough damage to the season by facing two suspensions. On top of it, in the last game against the Orlando Magic, he was ejected just 4 minutes into the game. A seemingly frustrated Steph Curry, was seen crying, wiping his tears off by covering his face with his jersey. He was agitated, angry, lost his balance and was kicking chairs. The sheer display, the rawness Curry was in at the moment, speaks voluments of the crisis the Warriors are gong through right now.

But then again, Curry managed to turn his anger and frustration into passion, getting a win home, 101-93. It again brings us to the question: Are the Warriors walking towards one more breakup? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
