Hawks News: Chandler Parson Feared to End His Career after a Car Wreck Causes Major Injuries

National Basketball Association (NBA) franchise Atlanta Hawks’ forward Chandler Parson was involved in a horrific car accident last week.
The accident, known to have been caused by a drunk driver, injured Parson quite severely threatening to end his basketball career.
Law firm Morgan and Morgan took up Parson’s case and released a statement on Monday saying the 31-year old suffered a few permanent injuries.

“Chandler was seriously injured in this crash, which never should have occurred,” Morgan & Morgan’s statement read.
“The at-fault driver created utter chaos on the roadway, needlessly endangering the lives of countless motorists; he now stands charged with DUI, admitted drinking, had alcohol in the car with him, passed out after causing a three-car crash at 2:00PM on a Wednesday in a busy intersection, seriously injuring and potentially ending Mr. Parsons’ career as a professional athlete.”

Chandler Parson- nine seasons in the NBA
Hailing from Florida, Parson first played in the NBA in 2011. He was picked in the 2011 Draft after he played four seasons of college basketball for the University of Florida. He was once named the SEC Player of the year in the final season of college basketball.

His NBA career started with Houston Rockets where he played for three seasons. In 2014, as a restricted free agent, he signed for the Dallas Mavericks. After two seasons, he was traded to Memphis Grizzlies.
