Taking stock of the past few games, James Harden has turned back the dial to his days with Houston Rockets. The Beard played with the Rockets for most of the past decade. During his tenure in Houston, Harden put up some All-time numbers and also won the 2018 NBA MVP. After clashes with the management, the 10x All-star moved out of town to pursue an NBA title win. Meanwhile, recent reports have indicated a possible return of the Beard to H-town. However, such a return might entail certain perks from Harden that are likely to frustrate Houston Rockets fans.

Fast forward to the present day, Harden has become an integral piece of the Philadelphia 76ers. However, according to leaguewide rumors, the Beard may look to make a return to his former team. Sources also reported that Harden might deploy a common practice involving his contract while making his way to Houston.

James Harden, who got traded to the Philadelphia 76ers in the middle of the season last year, has already established himself as an integral piece of their offense. Harden’s pairing with All-NBA center Joel Embiid has worked wonders for the 76ers. With an impressive record of 20-13, they currently rank 5th in the Eastern Conference. However, 76ers fans and Rockets fans woke up to a WOJ bomb on Christmas. NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski reported that Harden is seriously considering a reunion with the Houston Rockets.

Moreover, according to another senior insider, Zach Lowe, Harden might cycle through shorter deals for the foreseeable future. Consequently, the nature of these deals could allow the Beard to make a hassle-free return to Houston.

In the recent episode of the Lowe Post podcast, Lowe gave an update regarding Harden’s plans. Reportedly, Harden, who signed a frugal two-year $68.6 million deal with the 76ers this off-season, may continue to sign shorter deals in the future. While discussing Harden’s contract with Tim MacMahon on the podcast, Lowe said, “There are a lot of whispers around the league that he wants to continue cycling through one-plus-one kind of deals.”
