The Heat, who traded for Oladipo to the Houston Rockets, haven’t given him any long-term commitment as of yet. Consider this a trial run for the former All-Star to show that he deserves it. And it is safe to say, he put his best foot forward, having a great start to his career in Miami Heat.
Connection with Miami Heat
Victor believes that he fits perfectly well into the Heat culture. Oladipo has been linked to joining this team for years, and now that it has happened, he is hoping it stays this way for long.

When asked about his ties with Miami, he said, “Obviously, I spend my offseasons here. The connection with [Dwyane Wade] and everything like that. I think in some people’s eyes, it would be a good fit. For me personally, I thought I definitely could fit into the Heat Culture and what they stood for, how they play, how they get after it, and things of that nature.

“So when told I was being traded there, first and foremost it’s not like I’m going to a foreign land where I don’t know anybody or a foreign experience. It’s something that I’m comfortable with.”
Victor Oladipo looking forward to being his best version
The Miami Heat are Oladipo’s third team this season. “The best is yet to come for me,” he said. “I truly believe that my better days are ahead. I truly believe I haven’t scratched the surface of how good I can be. There’s still a lot of room for me to improve, a lot of room for me to get better. I have a lot to prove. I have a chip on my shoulder, obviously.”
Oladipo’s best season was 2017-18, and he was never the same after his knee injury. But it looks like he is determined to get back to his full form.
Oladipo’s presence will not only better the Heat’s defense, but he can also take the load off Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo offensively. Do you think there is more to Victor’s potential?
