After a rough patch of losing four games in a row, the LeBron James-led Los Angeles Lakers are on their way to build another winning streak. It started after their incredible victory against the Golden State Warriors. In fact, by halftime, the Lakers were leading 73-44. Does more need to be said about whether the match was a close one or not?

LeBron James was the leading scorer for the Lakers, and although Dennis Schroder is back to the lineup, the pressure on Bron to hold the fort without Anthony Davis and not let them slip down in the Western Conference is immense. However, there is one former Lakers’ star that has huge faith in LeBron.

Who doesn’t know Klay Thompson? But not everyone knows that he comes from a family filled with athletes. His father Mychal Thompson had a glory-filled NBA career of his own. From the time that he started playing at the University of Minnesota, he grabbed a lot of attention.

As the number one overall pick in the 1978 NBA Draft by the Portland Trail Blazers, Mychal was actually the first foreign player to have gotten selected at number one. He spent the last few years of his career with the Lakers and even ended up winning two championships with them.

So now, as LeBron James continues to work towards bringing Mychal’s former team a second straight-title, Mychal went on Twitter to show his support to the superstar.

He posted, “Lebron in the open cort is the 3rd most UNSTOPPABLE play in NBA HISTRY…Wats 1 n 2? Thats easy…1)Kareems hook…2)Shaq’s Dunks…”

Kareem’s hook shot and Shaq’s deadly dunks

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was a player gifted with prowess on both ends of the floor, and it was his skyhook shot that brought him most success offensively.

This is one of the most difficult shots for any player to defend, and neither was anybody able to pull it off with as much perfection as Kareem could. Mychal would know this because he was a great backup to Kareem during their time at the Lakers.

Shaquille O’Neal, on the other hand, was one of the most feared players on the court. His gigantic size was one of the reasons for this, but it was also his monster dunks. Nobody wanted to get posterized by him. His dunks are so brutal that he once broke the entire backboard.
