Michael Jordan once stated that he hates Thomas. One main reason was that Thomas and the mighty Detroit Pistons had prevented the Chicago Bulls from reaching the NBA Finals in the 1980s. In the three Eastern Conference Finals between 1989-1991, Thomas and Jordan came face to face each time. Out of which, Thomas won twice.
