Phoenix Suns legend Charles Barkley has become a successful NBA analyst post his dominant career in the NBA. Besides his analysis, Barkley has turned himself into a fan-favorite broadcaster with his hilarious jokes and intriguing stories on the NBA on TNT shows, as well as on other platforms. Alongside his game analysis on TNT, the 11x NBA All-Star regularly engages in his podcast show with stars from different fields. During a recent episode, he revealed his awkward encounter with an Oscar-winning actress in her presence and apologized to her for the same.

Barkley has a reputation for putting forward his honest opinions irrespective of the outcome during his shows. In the recent episode of ‘The Steam Room’ podcast, Academy Award-winning actress Sally Field joined Charles Barkley and Tim Kiley for a candid conversation. As soon as Field appeared on the show via video conference, Barkley proceeded to apologize for their encounter in the past. He said, “First of all I want to apologize for the one and only time I met you.”

Subsequently, Chuck went on to narrate the moment when he met the actress in a restaurant in New York some time ago. He saw the star dining with her son at the establishment and decided to express his feelings for her. Chuck went up to the star and said, “I hate to bother you, I’ve had a crush on you, I gotta say hello to you, you’re a legend, we’re never going to be in the same restaurant again.”

The 1993 MVP apologized for interrupting her meal during the show and thanked the star for being gracious at the restaurant.  Most notably, Chuck seemed extremely nervous before Field joined them for the chat. The former 76ers star also stressed the word ‘special guest’ when Tim Kiley introduced Field to the viewers.

On the other hand, Field graciously refuted Barkley’s apology, proclaiming that she has been an ardent fan of his craft for a long time. The legendary actress also thanked the NBA veteran for taking the initiative to introduce himself, claiming she was too nervous to do it herself.
