Joel Embiid has had probably the best season of his career. At least his numbers suggest that way. He has outperformed his every previous season, and he still has a very good chance of winning his first NBA championship. Embiid has been one of the most consistent players in the league this season.

He leads the list for most points per game with 30.6 and is also in the top 5 for most rebounds per game. The Philadelphia 76ers have been in top form and a lot of credit has to go to him. He has also been one of the three main contenders for the MVP.

‘The Process’ has heard a lot of praises over the course of the season but this might be the best one yet. Fred VanVleet dropped a massive compliment for his game.

Fred VanVleet claims Joel Embiid has the qualities of 4 NBA legends!

Recently on Twitter, Josh Lewenberg reported Fred VanVleet’s opinion about the superiority of Joel over the rest of the league. The 2019 NBA champion with Toronto Raptors stunned the fans when he called Embiid a combination of four big NBA greats.

“He was more back to the basket (in 2019), playing like a 5. Now he’s turned into Kevin Durant, Michael Jordan, Kobe, Shaq all put together.” said VanVleet as reported by the Raptors beat reporter, Josh Lewenberg.

This is one of the highest praises Joel Embiid could receive from an opponent right before their match-up in the first round of the playoffs. Embiid’s Philadelphia 76ers will face off against Fred’s Toronto Raptors on April 16th for the first game of their 7 game series.

Many analysts, journalists, former players, and current players have picked Joel Embiid over Giannis Antetokounmpo or Nikola Jokic. However, that is true for either of the three. The MVP race has been like this for quite some time now. As the season has progressed the three superstars have replaced one another to be the frontrunner.

In all honesty, either of the three might deserve it in the end and there would be very little to argue about, no matter who won.
